| Abstract: |
This image was taken at a review presentation of a research which was the 1st part of a Graduate Architecture housing studio program. The goal of this research was aimed at looking at successful housing projects across the world and learning from them. Over a period of three weeks these projects were analyzed and adapted to fit a 125’ x 125’ Chicago infill site while meeting the Chicago building code. The adapted buildings also needed to take into consideration the differences in such factors as climate, cultural and social context between the original precedent and the adapted version in Chicago. The theme of the semester project is optimization. The key issues are density and efficiency. |
