| Abstract: |
The time has come for a new style of architecture, which accommodates for our fast-paced urban environment. This architecture is based on the development of a graphic sensibility that evokes the idea of speed & precision in a calm & soothing manner. The image shown here exercises the use of graphic techniques such as composition, directionality, and gradation to accomplish this goal. These studies are then translated from 2D graphics to 3D forms producing a spatial architecture with an inherent psychological effect. This environment can then be used to promote productivity in the work place as well as assist movement in urban traffic. My research is inspired by the efficient nature of the City and aims to produce an architectural model for the preservation & possible augmentation of its performative quality. |
